BOTOX® is a purified protein that Dr. Schwartz administers to patients in a simple, nonsurgical cosmetic procedure. This is just one of several injectable treatments Dr. Schwartz provides for patients who want a rejuvenated, more youthful appearance. The purpose of the BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure is to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. BOTOX® Cosmetic is most effective in people from ages 18-65 years old. During the BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment, Dr. Schwartz administers very low doses of BOTOX® Cosmetic in a few tiny injections directly into the muscles. The muscles that are targeted are the ones that cause stubborn lines or wrinkles between the brows.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a procedure that enters the muscles directly to block the chemicals that cause facial muscles to contract. BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes the muscles that cause frown lines.

BOTOX®Cosmetic is a quick, minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. The BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure involves just a few tiny injections into the muscles between the brows. There is no anesthesia required; however Dr. Schwartz will numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to the injection. The BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. There is minimal discomfort and no downtime after the procedure. Patients may experience localized pain, swelling, tenderness, redness and bleeding / bruising.
BOTOX® Cosmetic results may be seen within days of the treatment. The area will continue to show improvement over about a week. After 4 months, patients may be ready to return to Dr. Schwartz for follow-up treatment. Results may vary.
